Experience the beauty, and convenience, of Château Élan Winery

Château Élan is a luxury European-style resort set among acres of lush vineyards. And it’s right here in Georgia! Located just 50 miles from Atlanta, this posh retreat is perfect for the casual wine lover, serious wine connoisseurs, or anyone in between.

The Winery at Château Élan is the most awarded winery on the East Coast. It has won more than 220 awards in the last three years from well-respected sources such as Wine Enthusiast, Denver International Wine Competition and International Women’s Wine Competition. They produce 27 varieties of wine ranging from the Muscadine wines made from grapes native to Georgia, white wines, red wines and their newest variety, super-premium Fingerprint reds. Guests can taste them all in the newly-renovated Wine Tasting Room at the resort.

In 1984, when Don and Nancy Panoz opened the Château Élan Winery, it was the first winery in the region since the Prohibition era. Over time, the winery has grown to include the Wine Market and the Viking Culinary Studio.

Many of Château Élan’s recent successes at wine competitions can be attributed to Executive Winemaker Simone Bergese joining the winery in 2013. In addition to a $1.5 million winery renovation, the classic European varieties that had taken a toll on the vines were replaced with native disease-resistant Muscadine grapes. To produce the classic European varieties, Bergese hand-selects locations during his seasonal California vineyard tours. These changes have only improved the quality and popularity of the Château Élan Winery.

Want to taste some of these wines for yourself? Château Élan wines can be found throughout the Smyrna and Vinings area. From grocery stores to ‘package stores’ to Cost Plus World Market, no one has to go far to enjoy wines produced on a vineyard so close to home.
