With Paula Burchett and Ashley Hudson of Must Have Home

As a goal in each of our houses, we strive to create warmth. For example, if, during an open house, we overhear a potential buyer’s comment regarding how inviting the home is, we secretly give each other a congratulatory high-five. Comments such as these tell us that we have achieved our goal for that particular project: to create a warm and inviting space that is comfortable, yet polished. We strive to create properties that allow potential homeowners to picture themselves living and thriving in the space. In essence, our design and staging work invites each person to view the house as their home.

A primary example is the kitchen backsplash featured here. We specifically chose to utilize the counter-to-ceiling white and blue Moroccan-style tile as we knew it would create a unique feature wall that would set this home apart from others with a similar footprint. The tile is complemented by the exposed wood shelving on either side of the vent hood, inviting buyers to imagine the endless styling possibilities using their own kitchen décor.
